Sirinli Corba – A Dessert Made With Molasses And Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 glass of rice
  • 4 spoons of molasses
  • Minced walnut
  • Minced pistachio
  • Enough sugar

Preparation

Wash rice and boil with enough water (5-6 glasses). Take bubbles with a spoon. After rice is soft enough, add molasses and sugar in it. Boil it. Add water if necessary.(Add grated orange or lemon peel if you wish. It produces a nice taste and a nice smell). Pour ground pistachio over it. Serve as a dessert or it can traiditionally be served with ‘İçli Kofte’.

P.S: This dessert can also be cooked with chickpeas and wheat.
